Art Design: Wide open box with a Spider-Man logo art on the corner. The Green Goblin is held down with a couple of twist ties.
History: This is not the traditional version of the Green Goblin. It looks like the Demogoblin who was a demonic entity that split from Jason Macendale (The Hobgoblin) back in Web of Spider-Man #86. This character appeared several times in the Spirit of Vengeance and Midnight Sons comic books that also featured The Ghost Rider, The Moon Knight, Dr. Strange, Lilith, Zarathos, N'Astirth, and other supernatural characters. The Demogoblin died in Spider-Man #48.
Headsculpt: The face is pretty nasty, but he is missing the long forked tongue which the Demogoblin often flashed. On the other hand, the pointy Demogoblin teeth are well represented.
Articulation: This is a hard plastic rotocast body with an improved level of articulation (26 points). It is not bad, but it lacks some of the subtle moves of a fully articulated action figure. I have tried to photograph it in a variety of poses so that you can get a good idea of the figure's posability.
Costume: The outfit, armor, cap, and mask, are painted on. It looks very good if you are a fan of Demogoblin, but it really looks nothing like the Green Goblin except in the face.
Gear: Two nicely detailed rubber satchels (that do not open) are included. One is green, and the other one is a light brown color. The main accessory that is missing is the stun pumpkins. How can anyone sell a Green Goblin (or Demogoblin) figure without any stun pumpkins?? Even the figure's right hand is open as if it was meant to grasp a pumpkin.
Market: These figures are available at most retail toy stores for $10.
Overall: Demogoblin is a good villain for your heroes to battle, but the lack of a stun pumpkin means that you will have to improvise (Barbie pumpkins or Thanksgiving mini-erasers?).
