Action Figure: The pilot is 4" tall or 1:18 scale. He has cut joints at the biceps and thighs. His neck, elbows, wrists, hips, legs, knees, and ankles have varying articulation. The knees and elbows bend less than 45 degrees. The other joints turn the full 360, which means that the Pilot can do a Linda Blair imitation and spin his head round and round.
Headsculpt: I was hoping it would be Angelina Jolie in her cute outfit and eye-patch, or at least Gwyneth Paltrow or Ling Bai. Who is this pilot? Jude Law of course! He is The Sky Captain! 21st Century Toys & Ultimate Soldier hits a home run with this P-40 Warhawk and action figure set!
The P-40 Warhawk: This is the meat of the matter! What an incredibly detailed aircraft! The landing gear has springs to pop out of the gear wells. The plane rolls smoothly and has excellent play value. The propeller, nose art, and exhaust pipes look great. The wings have detailed rivets and panels and it looks as good as any aircraft model I have ever seen. The pilot has ample seating and the canopy slides open and snaps shut. The the wings screw on at the fuselage, and then the fuselage cover is attached and screwed on to cover the wing screws. The result is a very
sturdy aircraft. You can feel the difference when you hold it and it is firm and tight. This P-40 has a wingspan of 25" and it is 21" long. The Warhawk makes for an excellent display piece, and it has play value too. The black body should also be easy to customize if you want to add military stickers or paint it.
Overall: Top Gun quality for a
