Art Design: Like most Action Man boxes, the art and illustrations have a colorful comic book style which inspires comparison to the vintage 1960s Captain Action and GI Joe illustrations and comic books. A Toxic Robot trading card is included. Action Man is sold in Europe and Australia or on e-bay.
Headsculpt: Toxic Robot without the mask sort of reminds me of a Star Wars droid. With the mask on, he kind of looks like the Roach from Mimic 2. Remember that kid with the clicking spoons in Mimic?
Articulation is limited by the pop-apart body feature. The arms only move up and down but have a cut-joint at the bicep. The head does not turn. This legs are similar to an Action Man body except the boots are molded on. The feet have an ankle joint which makes the figure a lot easier to pose. The arms are swords similar to what the T-1000 used in Terminator 2. Everything is molded on to this figure.
Pop-Apart Feature: Anyone who grew up in the 1970s remembers Evel Knievel, the SSP drag racers & Rock'Em Sock'Em Robots will get a kick out of this Toxic Robot. It has three parts that pop-apart, which are the face mask, the shoulder plate, and part of the chest armor. The parts are easy to snap onto the robot. The robot has a priming button in his back which sets the parts for exploding action by pushing the black button above the waist. The Robot can be popped apart by a shot from any GI Joe/Action Man missile launcher. The parts are attached to green power cables so they are easy to find after every play-battle.
Overall: Toxic Robot is a good supporting character for any kid or collector to add to any Science Fiction themed Villain squad.
