Apocalypse Glitch: The Maestro was  packed with the left arm of Apocalypse, but the power cable that connects from the arm to the torso of the figure was  missing from most sets. Toybiz discusses this error on their website. If you call 1-800-728-2018, then Toybiz will send you the missing cable for Apocalypse. You can't go wrong!
Art Design: Carded window figure with his Power Card and the rest of the series illustrated on the back cover.
History: Due to nuclear radiation, the Hulk evolves into the insane Maestro, a vicious dictator. He rules an  alternate Earth in which nuclear war killed all the heroes.
Captain Marvel Vol. 5, #30: During the most recent era of the Captain Marvel comic book, a lot of things were changed for the sake of humor. Maestro appears briefly in this issue as the straight man to Rick Jones; who was yucking it up with three other versions of himself from alternate dimensions. A real classic, if you like Archie & Jughead Comics.
Headsculpt: Maestro's face looks great, but he is channelling a bit too much of Odin, the father of Thor. Maestro usually has gray hair, not white hair (But in CM #30, he has white hair). The head is also too pointy and it is too small for such a massive body.
Articulation: Maestro has what amounts to Gung-Ho grip, lat-flaps, a ball jointed hip, and ultra-articulated knees, wrists, and ankles. The hands look like ham hocks pegged into the huge forearms. Due to the gigantic biceps, the arms have limited  flexibility. The tips of the boots can be flexed. Because the pirate pants are so baggy, the knees have limited movement. Why is Maestro wearing baggy pirate pants? The red garter belt with the purple cod-piece (or is it a hula skirt?) is another odd part of this figure. Why does a guy wearing pirate pants need a purple skirt?
Gear: Did I mention the funky hat? The horns are weathered with scratches and little holes in them. Is that just bad casting or is it a fashion statement? You would hope that the ruler of Earth would get a nice hat with clean horns.
Paint Apps: Maestro used to be a deep green color; a bit brighter than the original Hulk. This Maestro figure is painted a very nasty shade of mustard-green (it matches his look in CM #30).
Market: $8-9. at retail stores where toys are sold.
Overall: This figure never hits all cylinders. Maestro seems off the mark on several different levels. Maestro has an awful combination of colors:  Mustard-green, blue, red, purple, silver, & white! Sometimes the little details add up in a positive way, but in this case, Maestro is just a real clunker.
