Art Design: Cardboard box with a small window that shows the Hollow Point 3.75" GI Joe action figure and one Lego block. This Locust set includes enough Legos to make one helicopter. It was at Big Lots for $1.99. The Kamakura figure is one of the GI Joe Valor vs. Venom single figures that are sold at Dollar General for $2. These sets are sold seperately.
Headsculpt: This headsculpt resembles Marvel Comics' The Mighty Thor. The beard is well done, and the face looks stern and determined. The best feature is that the cap has the GI Joe logo on it. Perhaps Hollow Point picked it up at a GI Joe Convention? File cards are included with each figure. Hollow Point has no gear.
Articulation: Hollow Point and Kamakura have cut biceps and are relatively well articulated for such small figures. However, Hollow Point's legs would snap back together when they were opened for any kind of pose. Kamakura had stiffer joints and he held his poses well. Perhaps these figures were made at different factories?
Kamakura: is a nice martial arts figure dressed in green. He has a green mask on his head. Kamakura includes a green scabbard that attaches to his back, along with a sword and an Uzi machine gun.
The Lego Locust: This set includes a full color booklet that shows in great detail how to build this helicopter. Any child could do it, and this set is an excellent and economical gift for kids. Hollow Point fits snugly in the cockpit, and as you can see from the photos, he can fire a very large missile at enemy troops. He also has a couple of machine guns that can rotate on their posts. The rotor blades adjust to mimic the actual steering of a helicopter.
Overall: The Locust set is a lot of fun for only $2, and the Real American Hero figures that are being sold at Dollar General for the same price are great for building up troops!
Grade: B for each set
