82nd Airborne Infantry by Power Team Elite
Art Design: Anyone old enough to remember the vintage exclusive mail order sets from GI Joe will be excited to get this JC Penney's 12" Power Team Elite action figure exclusive (part of the World Peacekeepers series) ! The box is white, and it has a photo label on it which lists the gear along with a photo of the set. The figure is inside a plastic bag. Do you remember that 1993-94 Joseph Colton set by GI Joe? The gear is packed in two small baggies. It was a thrill to open it up!
Headsculpt: Who does he look like? I am not sure. This figure has a thoughtful look, is he based on any well known person? If you think that he looks like any specific person; feel free to let everyone know at the Power Team Elite list! This headsculpt is a nice change of pace. His face is robust, and he seems to be in the early stages of pattern baldness. The interesting details to this sculpt are just another example of the creativity that Power Team puts into their faces and headsculpts! Not to mention the cool dog tags! GI Joe, move over! Power Team is here!
Articulation: The body is the newest ultra-articulated version of Power Team Elite. The black gloved hands are softer, but still firm. These softer hands make it easier to put weapons in the hands, and to open them for grabbing other types of gear. The elbow & knee joints have an inner peg that allows an even greater range of motion than a Dragon figure.
Gear: Lots of gear in this set! Take a look above at the photos of the M-16. It includes a bayonet and eyelet piece; M-203 grenade launcher; street sweeper handle; extra ammo-clip and clip holder; and three types of snap-on scopes.  You can make several versions of the M-16 (or an M-203) with this set! You also get the camouflage uniform; the web-belt, boots; helmet with night vision goggles; tactical vest; M1911 pistol with tac-lite and drop-down holster; boots; elbow & knee pads; dog tags; the communications head- phone and radio; the hard rubber canteen, ammo pouch, first aid kit, field pouch; and the back-pack with camouflage cover. The only issue I have with any of the gear is that the large hollow plastic back-pack does not open up. It would be a pretty neat set if the back-pack could store the gear. Action Man had an even larger back-pack that opened up as part of a Sat-Com computer. The camo cover for this back-pack is cool. What if Chef Boyardee had started out in Airborne? Do the field cooks wear camouflage hats?
Overall: The outfit is nothing less than awesome. The gear is normal Power Team quality. The dog tags are as real as anything that small can be. The headsculpt is another plus. If you can get this set at JC Penney's online store or at their Catalog Stores, run and get it! You can't go wrong for $14.99! The tough part is finding these sets. They seem to be available for only a couple of hours at a time and then they are off the website (sold-out). Hopefully JC Penneys will get a large shipment of these and keep them in stock!
