12" G.I. Joe Millenium Edition Korean Soldier
Packaging: Arrives in a white cardboard box, the G.I. Joe is inside a transparent acrylic plastic. Easy to open, no twist-ties.
Headsculpt: Outstanding! This Joe looks like a young Burt Reynolds. Excellent face and painted-on beard stubble. The paint-ops are crisp! The hair style is vintage Quint Asper from Gunsmoke.
Articulation: This is the Classic Collection style body style.
Clothing: This is one of the best outfit that Hasbro has ever made for new era of G.I. Joe (post 1991). Inside the winter coat, Joe is wearing matching pants. Under that is a dark green shirt and pants and a scarf & matching cloth winter cap with snap. This Joe is wearing two outfits! Both are really nicely done. The boots have "snow" painted on, but the boots are very rubbery and look fake. They are the only negative. The helmet also has snow airbrushed on. The effort to make the figure better was there.
Gear: Rifle, and the Diorama M.A.S.H. door opening. A very nice little touch. This makes the G.I. Joe very displayable in an Office Setting, where your colleagues cannot wonder why you are still playing with "toys." It looks collectible and very expensive. The base has an engraving on a silver plate which says 'Korean War Private.'
Price: These were online at Hasbro for $49.99 and other outlets have sold them from $24.99 to $19.99. I bought this on e-bay for $14.99.
Overall: Really nice set that includes a diorama section. Most online dealers have this set at a very reasonable price.
Grade: A+
