G.I. Joe Vietnam M60 Gunner
Packaging: This is a carded G.I. Joe figure which is vacuum packed and glued onto a card and the backside of the card has a photo of the figure as he should look out of the box along with a paragraph of general historical information which usually reads like imaginative advertising copy as compared to the factual style of the historical blurbs which Dragon publishes on the inner flaps of their figures.
Figure: The totally over-used Pinhead headsculpt on a super-articulated body. Somewhere in their vaults, Hasbro must have a record of how many times each headsculpt is used. The Pinhead and all of its variations (camouflages, etc.) must be the one used most often (the Normandy Ranger a close second place). Considering that Hasbro has produced at least fifty headsculpts since the Hall of Fame days, I wonder why they do not switch head-molds for each different release. Even if they re-use them, at least re-use a variety of heads, not just the same two!
Outfit and Gear: A nice camouflage pants, OD T-Shirt, cool Boonie hat, and an M60 which has a bipod and silver weathering on it. The ammo fits into the feeder, and it is a very nice carded set.
Overall: This is a good set compared to the worst Hasbro sets that used to bring zero gear and fgures wearing pants only at the price of $14.99. Compared to 21st Century's $9.99 sets, this G.I. Joe is not a great set, but it is above average.
