Packaging: A very colorful and patriotic box which looks really "American!" The inner panel has no information and just the plastic tray holding the vest and some very cool slide-on pouches. The Window of the box clearly shows the figure, and he can be easily removed from the tray. The hardest gear to remove is the vest and pouches on the inner flap. Since I do not collect the boxes, I happily ripped the box apart and tossed the pieces in the air around me as I have always done since way back when I opened my first gift!
Figure and headsculpt: The figure is the BBI version of a Dragon body. The headsculpt reminded me of the actors in the movie, BLACKHAWK DOWN. Sort of clean-cut with a young face.
Outfit: The outfit, boonie hat and boots are a cut above! This set really stands out as the best Afghanistan era outfit. I am not including Desert Storm-Gulf War era sets, since they reflect outfits and technology of 1990. The new Afghanistan era is twelve years later, and much different.
Gear: A machine gun which is very well detailed. At least the nice pouches open and close. You can put in grenades, ammo clips, anything that you want to. I was hoping for more gear, but this is about average for the average price of $30. Online dealer prices may vary.
Overall: An desert camouflage outfit which is a cut above, nice boots, great vest, and working pouches. This set would be great with grenades or a handgun with holster.
Grade: A
