Packaging: A typically well done Action Man window box which has colorful illustrations and little blurbs that explain the toy's various features.  The illustration on the front of the box has Dr. X attacking Action Man and his covert operations Dolphin.
The Figure/Headsculpt: It is an articulated Action Man body with the "Alex Mann" headsculpt. Like Max Steel, Action Man has the same exact headsculpt on every figure.
The Outfit/Gear: This set does not include much gear. The orange & black one-piece spandex shorts and T-shirt; a diving mask and scuba tank which has a detachable missile launcher.
The Mission: Ever since "The Day of the Dolphin" (1973) many movies and TV shows (SeaQuest) have dealt with the issue of using Dolphins as trained special operatives who can plant bombs, check for sea mines, and engage in other underwater tasks on behalf of Military Organizations. Action Man has recruited a Dolphin, but unfortunately this Dolphin has nothing to carry or to detonate. It would have been logical to include something for the Dolphin to carry or to check, but it seems that Action Man is only using the Dolphins in order to get an underwater ride. What happened to the old Sea Sled?? The Dolphin is very well painted and the harness looks realistic.
Overall: Marine Mission is a good set for any fans of the GI Joe Deep Sea Diver or Danger of the Depths set. Also for fans of the  Captain Action Aquaman and Aqua Lad sets. Between Action Man and G.I. Joe, Hasbro has produced a Giant Clam, sharks, sea eels, manta rays, alligators, squids,  various octopii, and now a Dolphin.
