Packaging: Carded 12" Nunchuk action figure. The bubble card clearly shows the figure and accessories. The back of the card has collectible File Card and some other photos and instructions.
Figure and Headsculpt: A Muscle Body Joe with Gung Ho Grip hands. The headsculpt reminds me of early Steven Segal. It is definitely not a rehash of one of the Pearl Harbor figures.
Character: NUNCHUK's real name is Ralph Baducci (Ralph Macchio?) from Brooklyn, New York. The Karate Kid was from Brooklyn too. Nunchuk also studied with Storm Shadow, who is now a member of COBRA once again. Nunchuk's File Card refers to a mystery teacher early in Nunchuk's training. Perhaps it was Mr. Miyagi?
Outfit: The pants are a very cherry red "modern Camouflage" style Ninja pants. It sounds like a contradiction. Perhaps the best way to put it is that the pants look like the Disco version of a Ninja outfit. The colorful pants also have an almost glittery GI Joe logo on the side of the pants.
Gear: A rubber harness belt which holds the ultra-soft throwing stars. The back of the harness has a bulky box which holds the shotgun and the katana sword. Also included are nunchuks and a "communicator glove" (this really looks like a Personal Digital Assistant). The SPAS-like shotgun has a giant maroon handle which is like the handle of the katana. I like the weapon, though in practical terms, it is gigantic and hardly what I would expect a Ninja to carry. The boots have a tree-climbing attachment? Hasbro could have painted the straps a different color. It is a shame that they put so much detail into the boots and then leave them all-black.
Overall: A new headsculpt and great new gear. Some of it is the super-soft rubber. The rest is pretty good. Nunchuk is a fun action figure with excellent gear and a collectible File Card.
