Packaging: Very colorful bubble-carded 12" Action Man action figure from Europe. Tempest is an enemy of Action Man. Tempest is a villain who controls the weather similar to X-Men's Storm. The card art depicts Tempest harnessing the power of Lightning and firing a weapon.
Headsculpt: Nothing special, but the toy designer went nuts with the blue and yellow. Colorful paints on a face which is big and muscular but not very defined. Tempest is sculpted to look like a generic "tough guy" thug who is usually the first to fall in most of the Kiddie Cartoons.
Articulation: Action Man type body, with everything molded on. The arms only move up & down, which is a big zero. However, for kids, this is the kind of durable toy that you can toss out of windows, off the wall, and under the car.
Clothing: Not much. The body has its vest and electrical gizmos MOLDED ON, and the pants are plain blue pants with velcro that barely fit the torso due to the yellow molded-on electrical belt (see photo). However, it looks alright. The boots are the gigantic Frankenstein type boots that are often used for the Dr. X, Dr. Gangrene, and other Action Man villains.
Gear: Tempest brings a couple of antennas or electrical transformer rods which each fire a plastic missile. That is a creative touch. Tempest also has a molded-on base on his back to which one of the power rods can be inserted. The idea seems to be that Tempest can act as a Lightning rod and get recharged via Lightning strikes.
Price: These cost about $15. in the UK plus postage to the USA.
Overall: A fun action figure. Mean looking and yet colorful. Great for kids, not very collectible. Does not fit in with the Dragon WWII Germans. However, it is original, and I liked it more for the FUN factor than the disfigured Villains. Dr. Evil, Scar, etc. Tempest says FUN!
