GI Joe vs. Cobra: Air Assault with Barrel Roll
Art Design: Standard green box with the GI Joe Real American Hero logo. The back of the box has the Barrel Roll file card, an illustration, and a photo of Barrel Roll parachuting into a body of water.
Figure & Headsculpt: Barrel Roll looks a lot like Flint. The figure is the standard econo-figure with the molded on green shirt but this one has the muscular arms. This figure had gripping hands. The headsculpt looks good, but the similarity to Flint makes it hard to get excited about the character. On many of these Real American Hero/G.I. Joe vs. Cobra figures, Hasbro has tended to use heads for these unique characters that were previously used for other sets or characters. That kind of destroys the whole point of having individual RAH characters.  I hope that Hasbro will put some magic into this line by creating headsculpts that are copies of what the character looks like in the most recent comic books. That is what they had done with the newest version of Snake-Eyes and the Cobra Commander. The back of the box has a File Card for Barrel Roll.
Outfit & Gear: Just shorts and a molded-on Green T-Shirt. The gear is swim fins, the new bazooka that some other sets have gotten, and a nice camouflage helmet. The black parachute hooks onto a black rubber harness that has camouflage side panels. There are no Oxygen tanks, but the face mask has a tube that hooks into the rubber harness. The parachute is easy to use and opened up nearly every time I threw it into the air (it was thrown up loose, not folded-up). A fun collectible worth buying!
Pricepoint and Availability: This set was $19.99 at Toys R Us, and should be available at most retail and online stores. The black parachute looks great, the figure is nice, but not much gear.
