Art Design: A carded action figure with a comic book cover as the background. The figure and accessories are easy to see.
The Figure: This is The Mighty Thor, and he looks a bit grim. The helmet is not removable and neither is the red cape. At first glance, he looks good, but the hard plastic red cape gives Thor the look of a Roman soldier. The cut joints at the thigh make the figure look un-natural unless his legs are posed in a way so that the top and bottom of the thighs match up. The hands and feet have joints, and the figure is very articulated but it does not look very good. The biceps have a big gap for the joint, and the back shoulders are open in a crab-like hinge-joint that allows the Mighty Thor and the other Marvel Legends figures to clap their hands together. The design of these nearly 7" tall bodies is really ugly in terms of the joint gaps.
Gear: The Hammer of Thor is nice and big, and it could be used for a larger figure, such as a 9" or 12" custom Thor. There is no other gear, and for that reason it would have been nice if the helmet or the cape could be removed.
The Base: is a large skull-helmet with a couple of skeletons laying on it. This would have been a nice base for Conan The Barbarian, but it has no obvious connection with Asgard, Odin, Loki, Trolls, Frost Giants, or any of the other traditional enemies of Thor.
The Comic Book: The reprint included with this Thor figure is of The Mighty Thor volume 2, #39. The story is interesting but the art looks like it was drawn with crayons, typical of the minimalist comic book art.
