Art Design: Carded action figure vacu-packed with a comic book and stand. The back of the card has a photo of the other characters in the Marvel Legends, Series II.
The Figure: The face is very well done. The Thing looks grim, which is appropriate for Benjamin Grimm. Many versions of the Thing, Hulk, and other bigger creatures are produced with less articulation. In this case, the Thing is fully articulated, which is great! His hands have the bendy fingers, which allow The Thing to make the universal salute and grasp rocks too. Best of all, this Thing has the classic Jack Kirby face and rocky body, it is not the movie version.
The Stand: The Thing brings a break-apart stand that simulates a brick wall with "Yancy Street Boys" spray painted on it.
The comic book is Fantastic Four Volume 1, #263. The inculsion of these comic books is a real plus, as they make these sets one of the best bargains available for any 6.5-7" action figure.
Price & Availability: $6.99 at most retail outlets, KB Toys has them at $7.99.
