Art Design: Carded window display figure with a very realistic photo of the Voodoo Queen in a jungle setting. The back has a display of all the figures in the "Monsters" line by Todd McFarlane.
Headsculpt: The photo is a lot better than the actual headsculpt. Perhaps because the action figure is only six inches tall, the face looks flat, and the face paints do not look very authentic. It has a machine-stamped look. The hair is nicely done, compared to other figures that have the cornrow hair style. The Voodoo Queen's hair also has a "Medusa" effect, which is to say that the long strands of hair seem to be some kind of weapon. The hair ends in what look like seed pods, but there is no detailing on them so it could just be "matted hair" from having dreadlocks for many years.
The Body: The figure has limited articulation, like in the thorax area right under the breasts. This is not really an action figure, but more like a poseable statue. The figure is wearing a thong with a skull and leather cod-piece in the front, and a leather tail in the back.
The Gear: The best reason to buy this set is the bunch of shrunken heads and the Ceremonial African Voodoo Shield, which looks like a good decoration for an Adventure Team Headquarters. The Spear is also long enough that a 12" figure could use it.
Overall: Interesting figure, but the small size makes the details barely stand out. Nice accessories.
Price and Availability: Around $7.99 at retailers, I saw this at Spencer's Gifts on clearance at $1.43.
