Art Design: The coolest artwork is usually on the G.I. Joe boxes, and Search for The Yeti is probably one of the best examples. The back of the box has a great color illustration of G.I. Joe about to become the Yeti's next Happy Meal. The front of the box is a standard window box with the near-mythical Adventure Team logo looming large on the corner and the G.I. Joe and Yeti posed as if in life-or-death battle.
The headsculpt and figure: The head is of one of the Pearl Harbor faces with a very GQ thin beard. This guy would look good in a tuxedo! About half of the boxes have a non bearded blond Pearl Harbor Joe with a dimpled chin. There is also a Hispanic version (see picture at above-left). I have not seen any African American versions of this set, which is a shame as the new beard-style should look great on an AA figure. The body style is a muscular Joe with the Kung Fu Grip hands colored gray.to simulate gloved hands.
The Outfit and Gear: The outfit is very colorful, and not only does it fit in perfectly with the tradition of the Adventure Team, but it looks very contemporary. This is a very realistic fur-trimmed hooded Polar jacket in blue with bright orange pants and mountain climbing boots and snow clampons. Also included is a climbing axe, yellow goggles, a large digital camera and a gray and silver rifle.
The Yeti: The face on this creature is very well done. He looks like a meaner brother of a Hoth Planet Wampa. The arms are poseable and the figure has great claws and he is pretty big. The white furry fabric is very soft, and he could be a teddy bear if he were not so ugly. The Yeti can also be a fun friend for your dog.
Overall: This is one of the best sets the G.I. Joe Adventure Team has ever issued. It has a fun factor of 100% and it has new gear, a new headsculpt/beard, and a great enemy.
The Price: It is $29.99 at all of the retail stores like Toys R Us, Wal-Mart, K-Mart, etc. Online dealers also have this item in stock.
