Art Design: A colorful tropical theme and a nice window box makes this bright yellow vehicle stand out on the shelves. The yellow and gray color combination is very gender neutral, and this compact SUV would be a nice Adventure Team vehicle. The only two flowery stickers are on the sides of the vehicle and they are easy to lift off.
The Vehicle: This is the Cali Girl's 4X4. The Cali Girl is one of Barbie's new side lines. The figures all have a very beautiful light cinnamon tan and tiny little shorts, including Ken. There is a combination set that includes surfboards and a figure. The vehicle however is extraordinarily well designed. It is a two-seat compact vehicle.There is a little storage space in the back which is the right size for a cooler and some sports gear. Each seat has a removable headrest. Seatbelts are included. The roll-over bar looks sporty. The combination of yellow and gray is easy on the eyes. The dashboard and steering wheel are gray also, as is the windshield frame. A plastic windshield could easily be added to the frame by sizing and cutting out any transparent plastic, but this little SUV looks just fine without any actual windshield.
The Features: The 4X4 has a nice storage console located between the two seats. It lifts up and there is a soda can holder. The gas tank's cap also flips open which is a very nice touch. The steering wheel can turn but it does not turn any of the wheels. This vehicle has the standard toy vehicle axles which means it can move forward and backwards and does not turn to either side.
The Accessories: In addition to the vehicle, this nice little set includes a gray cellphone, gray sunglasses, and two cans of soda.
Overall: The Cali Girl 4X4 is an eye-catching ride
for Barbies, and it could be a nice little scramble
vehicle for the G.I. Joe Adventure Team or any
other 12" action figures. At $9.99 it is a good value.
