Art Design: This window card has great artwork on the backing card, and the transparent plastic bubble has a sticker attached which identifies the character as Spider-Man's enemy, Morbius; with his "Fang Attack Action." Simple and direct.
Headsculpt: Morbius has a very detailed headsculpt considering that he is only about 6.5 inches tall which makes Morbius about a 1:12 scale action figure. Morbius' forehead has wrinkles, and what look like throbbing veins similar to those on the temples of the old Ultimate Soldier 12" action figures. The pasty white Zombie skin color is perfect on the rubbery head. The "Fang Attack Action" is achieved by pressing a small lever on the back of Morbius. The lever pushes the rubbery jaw down, and thus Morbius can open his mouth as he tries to bite someone. Having Morbius fly around with his mouth opening and closing was entertaining, but the rubber under Morbius' chin started to thin as a result of the friction, and it looks like the lever is about to break the rubber and pop through. I guess Morbius will have to keep his mouth closed.
Articulation: This figure does not bend or turn his neck due to the "Fang Attack Action." His arms are articulated at the shoulders, biceps, elbows, and wrists. The torso can rotate sideways. The legs can spread apart at the hips and move up and down. The legs also bend at the knees and ankles. This is far from the kind of articulation that you will find on a 12" Dragon action figure, but it is a lot more than what the 6" Batman figures have.
Outfit & Gear: The outfit is painted on except for the rubber cape. The rubber cape is very soft and very well painted. The body is molded
in black plastic, and the black bleeds through the white paint on Morbius' chest. A second coat of white would have made a big difference. Otherwise, Morbius is a faithful reproduction of the comic book character. Also included are two excellent rubber vampire bats.
Overall: A great headsculpt on an average body and the paint apps should have been better. At about $6. at most retail outlets it is a good value.
