Art Design: The box for this Mattel Timeless Treasures 12" Elvis Presley action figure featuring The White Eagle Jumpsuit is very nice featuring dark blue and gold-tone printing. The back of the box has several photos of Elvis in various venues such as Hawaii wearing the famous Eagle Jumpsuit. The way this Elvis is boxed makes it a very nice Christmas, Mother's Day, or Father's Day gift for any Elvis fan.
Headsculpt: Mattel has done several 12" versions of Elvis Presley, and much to their credit, they always use a distinct look. This version recreates the ELVIS look from around 1971-'75 after Elvis made his great 1968 comeback, but before he put on the weight (1975-'77). Elvis died in 1977. Mattel has done an excellent rendering of this last hurrah that Elvis enjoyed before his tragic death. Elvis not only looks healthy and full of energy, but he accurately looks like he is in his late thirties. Mattel years earlier did the 1950s version, an early 1960s version, the Army version, and a 1968 Comeback version. Each one has gotten the look of the era accurately, and this Elvis: White Eagle version is just as good.
The White Eagle Jumpsuit: Is really an amazing piece of 1:6 scale fashion art! Mattel created an incredible tribute to Elvis with this White Eagle Jumpsuit. It has little rhinstones and gold highlights and a gold belt-buckle that is awesome when you consider that this Elvis Collectible was originally priced at $24.99. A nice silky red
scarf is included, and also a pair of white boots, a modern microphone, and a doll stand. This set was originally issued in the year 2000, and it has not only held its value on e-bay, but as the quantities diminish, the odds are that the price will go up and this is a good Collectible investment.
Overall: Not only is this Elvis a wonderful tribute and a potentially good investment, but if you take him out of the box he can look good in a lot of other outfits, such as on the left, Elvis (on a GI Joe body) is wearing the James Bond "Spy Who Loved Me" outfit by Action Man.
