Art Design: Dragon's Viet Cong Scout, Linh has a nice photo on the front of the box with a background of napalmed jungle. As Captain Kilgore said: "I love the smell of napalm in the morning!" Especially when the VC were in the bush!
Headsculpt: A very nice face. Linh almost looks like a Barbie or Cy-Girl. Is this face based on actress Lucy Liu? Either way, she is cute. Probably not what the average female V.C. grunt looked like.
The Figure: An articulated female body with a trigger-finger hand and a gripping hand. As a Female Action Figure, Linh is the top of the line. However, the Cy-Girls may be the best in the Female Action Figure division.
The Outfit: The standard black pajamas that must have been pretty warm in the heat of the Vietnam summers. The sandals fit the female foot very well, and the tablecloth/scarf is also included. This outfit is not much different from the carded one that 21st Century Toys issued.
The Gear: Linh has a nice rice-paddy hat, equiptment harness, grenades, canteen, rifle, and very cool rucksack. Considering that this figure was originally in the $39.99 range, it would have been nice if Dragon had added a few special items, such as a home-made V.C. bazooka or other Viet Cong weapons or gear.
Price: Anywhere from $25.00 to $40.00 on e-bay and online dealers. This set is hardly different from the 21st Century Toys Viet Cong set. The distinction is that the action figure is a female. Considering that the Viet Cong were high on Communism; Linh's face seems strange wearing lipstick. Chairman Mao and Pol-Pot would have had her sent to a re-education camp or a firing squad.
