GI Joe Army Desert Infantry & Ranger Recon Mission
Art Design: Two carded window boxes united by another plastic cover  (The Army Desert Infantry figure and Ranger Recon Mission gear set). Just the bubble molded plastic alone takes a while to peel off of these sets.
Headsculpt: This is the often used  Normandy Ranger face with red hair.
Articulation: This body has a molded on shirt. It has limited articulation and a Gung-Ho Grip.
Outfit: The figure includes Desert Camouflage pants, boots, and a helmet. The Ranger Recon Mission includes the Camouflage Poncho and rubber boonie hat. For anyone who grew up with the original GI Joe poncho, this version is an excellent update. The material and pattern is well done.
Gear: This double set is a treat for collectors. It includes a bayonet knife and sheath; fragmentation grenades; a radio with removable battery pack and ear plug; binoculars, green and black Danner boots, an M-16 with removable ammo clip, and M-203 grenade launcher. The ear plug almost fits perfectly. So much detail at such a reasonable price is why I say GO JOE!
Overall: The poncho is top notch, and the rest of the gear is useful for any kitbashing. The figure's molded-on shirt is well done. This double-set was only $9.96 and had limited distribution at Wal-Marts.
Grade: A+
