RAMBO: First Blood Part II
Art Design: Plain window box on a black background. This figure was released by N2 Toys in 2001.
RAMBO II: Anyone who saw the original RAMBO movie back in 1982 remembers what an exciting and fun movie it was. One of the greatest anti-authority, anti-hero movies. Sylvester Stallone was in great shape for the movie, and it was one of the top grossing films of that year. In RAMBO II (1985), Rambo went to Vietnam and saved a few P.O.W.s in spite of betrayal by the U.S. Federal Agent. Stallone  spent a lot of time with his shirt off, exhibiting his tanned, muscular, and scarred body. The N2 Toys box shows the Stallone action figure with scars on his body, but the actual figure has no scars.
Headsculpt: The rubber used to make the Rambo head is a grayish fleshtone. His skin tone looks a bit like a two-pack-a-day cigarette smoker. The face is a pretty good likeness of Sylvester Stallone. The neck opening is pretty thin, and it requires some careful cutting of the inside of the neck if you want to put the Stallone head on a GI Joe neck-post (see photos on the right).
Articulation: The body is pretty ugly. The skin tone is very pale and does not match the head. The hands and feet seem to have stems that are too long, and so they are not flush with the sockets. The articulation is similar to a standard economy GI Joe. The hands have very little detailing and they look like the hands from those wooden artists' models. The pale hands really looked strange handling the weapons that Rambo was looking at in the GI Joe Footlocker. So Rambo was given a head transplant to a GI Joe Muscular Body with black-gloved hands. Now he looks more like Rambo!
The Clothing: The jacket and pants look like the Vietnam style Special Forces outfits. The material used is quality cloth, and the tailoring is very nice. The jacket has Rambo's name inscribed above a pocket. The boots are standard quality. Under the jacket Rambo is wearing a black V-cut undershirt.
The Weapons: This is a major flaw in this set. The M-60 is one thin blob of plastic with few details. Only a Dollar Store Soldier might have an M-60 like this one (see photo below, right)! An ammo belt is included, but the M-60 does not have any slot for the ammo. The M-60 being held by Rambo in the photo above is by GI Joe.
Overall: These sets were originally $19.99 (plus shipping) and more from the online dealers. Now they are on e-bay for under $10. plus shipping. If you are a big fan of Stallone, the headsculpt and the outfit are worth it.
