Art Design: Colorful art on the front of the card, and the back of the card has an artist's rendering of Flint, and a photo of the Flint figure in a jungle background using his bazooka.
The figure and headsculpt: Flint has been given a new headsculpt. The first 12" version of Flint was issued back in 1993 as part of the Hall of Fame line. This 2nd version of Flint looks much younger. The body is the limited articulation version with the muscular arms and standard gripping hands.
Outfit and Gear: The forest green Tiger Stripe pants, rubber beret, and molded-on black shirt are interesting, but the original Flint had a much nicer and complete Tiger Stripe outfit. Flint #2 includes a nicer bazooka than the original, and this GI Joe bazooka has a missile firing design, unlike the Timeless Collection version. The harness has a holster for one of the giant-size Hall of Fame/Action Man handguns, and a sheath for a knife with a small handle. This harness would look very good if the holster and the handgun were smaller. Standing next to Dragon, Blue Box Elite, Ultimate Soldier, or the newer Power Team or Formative Soldiers of the World figures, this GI Joe looks a bit out of place. However, from a child's perspective, Flint #2 is a lot of fun and he is ready for backyard adventures.
Highlights: The rubber beret, bazooka, and the new headsculpt are a good buy for the $9.99 price (at Targets, Wal-Marts, Toys R Us, etc.)
