The Misfits by Ultimate Soldier
Art Design: Collectors get a unique coffin-shaped window box with a clear view of the Misfits Band 12" action figure, in this case Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein.
Background: The Misftis figures were issued sometime around 1999, and they were pricey at $29.99. Eventually they went on clearance, and for $4.99 each they are great! The bodies are incredible! They are the ultimate articulated bodybuilder bodies! These Misfits deserved some long overdue tribute to their unique place in Action Figure History. 21st Century never used these bodies again and these figures are gradually becoming rare collectibles. They often peak in the range of $40.-50.00 for a single boxed figure on e-bay.
The Misfits Band: The back cover of the box has a photo of the two main band members, Doyle and Jerry Only. The Misfits are a cult band that started in 1977 with Glenn Danzig & Jerry Only and later Jerry's  brother Doyle. A break with Danzig led to a ten-year legal battle, and in 1997 The Misfits were resurrected with brothers Jerry & Doyle running the band.  Metallica covered some Misfits songs on their GARAGE cd.
The Headsculpt: Doyle has a great Zombie look, and it is easy to pull out the cowlick of hair from in front of his face. A small hole will be left, which can be filled in and colored black to match the rest of his hair. I put Doyle's head on a Dr. X cyborg body.
The Figure: This is what it's all about! The Misfits bodies are huge compared to G.I. Joe, Max Steel, Dragon, Blue Box, etc. These figures are great to use for those Arnold, Steven Seagal, Van Damme, or similar headsculpts that you would like to see stand out in a troop formation. Nothing beats a Misfits body when you want your Arnold figure to make an impression when he stands next to a wimpy Max Steel or G.I. Joe.
The Outfit: Doyle was issued with a nice black guitar, spandex pants, Skull arm bands, wristbands, knee pads, and a choke collar. The Skull arm bands are good for kitbashing on Nazi soldiers if you want to give them a modern Neo-Nazi look. Except for the guitar, the rest of the outfit is not much.
Overall: For the clearance or e-bay price of $9.99 or less, these are great buys. For fans of the band, these figures will eventually  become expensive collectibles.
