Art Design: The Power Team Elite boxes are a yellowish green tint with the lettering in dark green and black. Similar to the Ultimate Soldier boxes, the back of the box has a photo of some the current action figures and their vehicles.
The Headsculpt: The Helicopter Commander looks a little bit like Arnold Vosloo who has played the role of the High Priest Imhotep in THE MUMMY movies. The face is well sculpted, and has a somewhat Hispanic or Middle-Eastern look.
The Figure: This is the new Power Team body, and it is as articulated as any other body that I have seen. The Power Team Elite body has all the same articulation as any Dragon body, but it also has a pivoting elbow joint, which means an unlimited number of poses. This feature is probably the most useful for collectors who want to pose their figures in extremely athletic or unusual positions for a particular photograph or photo-story.
The Outfit: The dark Olive green jumpsuit is pretty simply made. Unlike some of the Dragon or Blue Box versions it does not have a bunch of cargo pockets with metal-snap or velcro flaps. It reminded me of the Steve Canyon jumpsuit that was made for Captain Action back in 1966.
The Gear: Probably the most interesting item is the Helmet with working visor and face mask. The helmet is white with black spots, like a Dalmation or traditional Hereford milk cow. I do not know if there is any particular Armed Forces or other Organization that is known for this kind of design except for the Gateway Computer company. Perhaps this is the helicopter pilot for the Gateway Computers? The other gear is a web-belt with a hard-plastic drop-down holster and 9mm with tac-lite; sunglasses, emergency flare, pulse beacon, flash grenade, knife and sheath, two ammo pouches, Alice pack, digital binoculars, and a canister that looks like a flash grenade, but without the pull-pin. Similar to the early Ultimate Soldier figure boxes, the Power Team Elite box has no description of the gear or list of the items in the box. If you look at the photo on the right of the loose gear, you can see that some items look nicely detailed, and some do not. The ammo pouches, Alice pack, and binoculars look very rubbery. The rest of the gear is between average to good. The hard-plastic drop-down holster looks good, but lacks the sophistication of the kind of holsters that Dragon or Blue Box Elite make.
Market: Big Lots has these sets for $7.99 and KB Toys sells them at $9.99. Other stores sell Power Team also, but at this time not Toys R Us, Target, Wal-Mart, or K-Mart. For the price, these sets are nothing short of incredible.
