Art Design: A window box with a green grid background and blue graphics. The back of the box has photos of other figures in the Power Team line, and also photos of some interesting 1:6 scale vehicles, such as the S.W.A.T. van (see photo left).
Headsculpt & Figure: The headsculpt of this Police Sniper is a very accurately sculpted Asian male. The face looks warm and friendly, and the humanity is captured very well by the Power Team sculptor. This is definitely a good figure to add diversity to an action figure collection. The Sniper figure's body is on a new super-articulated Power Team body. It is similar to a Dragon body, but the elbows have a pin and ball joint that allows the elbows to flex 360 degrees. In my humble opinion, the thin elbow joint also makes this figure easier for children to break. Except for that elbow design, the figure is just about as good as any Dragon-style figure, however some collectors have reported that some of the figures are loose and hard to pose.
The Outfit: The figure is dressed with a blue jumpsuit, boots, and a snappy tan (kevlar) vest which says "POLICE" on the front. A black balaclava is also included. The quality is not in the same ball-park as a similar Dragon or Blue Box figure. It is not even close to the 21st Century boxed version of the Police Sniper. But then, all of the aforementioned boxed sets sold at $30. and up. The Power Team version is only $7.99. At that price, it is a nice outfit. The vest can be kitbashed and it will look much more expensive.
The Gear: Several pieces of gear are included. The Sniper Rifle is similar in quality to 21st Century Ultimate Soldier rifles. The tan-greenish color looks good, and it is easy to pose the rifle with the figure. The notebook computer is detailed and looks realistic. The handgun with tac lite has a slightly over-sized hard plastic holster with a drop-down belt.
Overall: For $7.99 at Big Lots stores, you get a very good action figure with a handsome and unique headsculpt plus some good kitbash gear and clothing.
