Art Design: Nice window box of what looks like the interior of a gray concrete Army gym where the Taekwondo Trainer is busy smashing bricks and snapping wooden planks.
Headsculpt: The Normandy Ranger head. For some reason, the red-haired pinhead and Normandy Ranger seem to be the two heads that Hasbro uses most.
The Figure: This is the new figure that has no bendable waist articulation. The figure has a white shirt molded on, and muscular arms with Gung-Ho Grip.
The Outfit: A very nice white Martial Arts style jacket, pants, and black belt. The jacket has Army Taekwondo Team printed in black on the back of the jacket. Also inlcuded is a rubber Chest Protector just like the real ones and a Martial Arts style Head Gear which has G.I. Joe emblazoned on the front of the helmet and an elastic chin strap.
The Gear: A Japanese Sword and scabbard and nunchakus are included. The picture of the sword on the box shows a very nice black scabbard detailed with red and gold; but the one included in the box is white and identical to the one that came with the Japanese Pilot set.
Bricks & Planks: Four breakable bricks and four snap-apart wooden planks are included. These are a lot of fun to break, smash, and otherwise set up. This set is much better than the 1970s Adventure Team Karate Set! Putting the bricks and planks together is fast and easy, and so is smashing them to bits! A soft rubber mat with a dragon printed on it is also included in this set. G.I. Joe can teach his martial arts students and he can definitely get a good Taekwondo work-out!
The Price: At Toys R Us, this set was $19.99. Online dealers and e-bay also have the set available for sale. Try to check around, it should be available at your local stores for $19.99.
