Art Design: Colorful carded packs with the "Septic Sludge" logo. Each card has a slime color which is the same as what is included in that particular pack. Each slime also has a unique smell, such a Burnt Rubber, Body Odors, or Stale Water. These sets were released in 2003 by Jakks Pacific as part of their WWE Wrestling Ring Gear series.
The Oil Spill: Easily the best set, Oil Spill includes a a working tool box with a tool tray and a Hazardous Wastes drum with a removable top. All the sets include a mop which is alright for the 8" Wrestling Action Figures, but it is very small for the 1:6 scale or 12" action figures. As you can see from the photos, the tool box is a good size and it can be used by the 12" figures. A 12" Lee Ermey (Sideshow Collectibles) is included in the photo for scale purposes. The Hazardous Waste drum is too small to fill the role of a 55 Gallon Drum, but it is big enough to be useful, and it can also be used to store gear (or Slime).
Lazy Janitor: This set includes a Waste container which can be removed from the base. The base rolls and has working wheels. A flat bristle broom is included. It is a bit short for a 12" figure, but it could look good in the background against a wall. For the 8" Wrestling Figures, this is very nice gear and it is perfect scale. The Body Odors slime smells like sweat.
Messy Bathroom: Perhaps the worst one, this set includes a very cracked toilet bowl and a sink. I guess a customizer could fill in the cracks and glue the sink into the wall of a diorama. However, as it is, the set is limited to the use of Wrestlers tossing it into the ring to smash each other. The Stale Water slime really smells bad.
Overall: The Oil Spill has an excellent tool box and nice drum. If your base needs a garbage can, the Lazy Janitor is a good pick-up. The Messy Bathroom is the least useful, in my humble opinion. These sets were originally priced at $7.99 and at that price they are not a good deal. However, Toys R Us has had them on clearance recently. I bought some at $1.19 each.
Overall Grade: B (Oil Spill gets an A)
