Art Design: Nice window box that shows all the goods very clearly.
The Mini-Van: The bad news is that the mini van is underscale. It is supposed to be for 12" Barbies and Action Figures, but it is closer to 1:8 scale. It would be a perfect roomy vehicle for 8"-10" figures such as Bratz, Famous Covers, Action Kid, and others in that size range.
The Good News is that two 12" Barbies and Dragon style (thin) action figures will fit tightly in the front seat. The slightly shorter 11.5" GI Joes might be a better fit. As you can see from the photos, a Barbie and a Scooby Doo Shaggy are sitting in the front seat. A little bit of Shaggy's head is sticking out of the sun roof.
Features: The vehicle has adjustable bucket seats in the front, and that small figures like Kelly Girls easily fit in the back seat. Gear and bags could also fit there too. The hatchback features a reasonable cargo space and an additional Toolbox area which is under the floor of the cargo area, and has a snap-down cover. The mini van also has a roof rack and it includes a removable luggage carrier attached to the roof rack. Also included is a Barbie-style bicycle with a water bottle.
Picnic Gear: The Picnic Gear is awesome! A light blue picnic table with a removable umbrella sits four figures. Thin figures with Dragon style articulation will look and fit better on the Picnic table. The two hot dogs, French bread, apples, muffins, potato chips, bananas and glass cups will fit in the hands of any 12" action figure and they are the correct scale. The Barbecue Grill with the gas tank and the barbecue tools is perfect for any 12" action figure that wants to have a party!
Overall: This set costs between $14.99 and $19.99 at most retail stores and toy stores. It is a great set for any girl who plays with Barbies and can easily fit the thin Barbies into the vehicle. The picnic gear is very well made, and it is perfect for any collector of 12" action figures and/or Barbies. Collectors of smaller sized 8-10" figures will find the mini-van to be an awesome vehicle, and the picnic gear would not be too big for them either.
