Packaging: Junkyard Jack has a 1970's North-Eastern US look. The background shows a few sky-skrapers and behind Jack there seems to be an Olds 98 or Lincoln Towncar parked in the driveway. The two dogs are on a leash, which is unusual for junkyard dogs which are left to prowl the yard at night; catching rats in addition to providing security.
Headsulpt: I think Jack is the closest that anyone has gotten towards making a Tom Berenger (in Platoon) headsculpt. The only thing I would trim off is the little hair-patch on the unde-lip.
Outfit: This is the perfect ROCKY outfit for fans of Sylvester Stallone. The GRUNT Hall of Fame G.I. Joe headsculpt is often used as a Sylvester Stallone stand-in. If you get BORIS the ENFORCER, then you have the guy who used to tell Rocky "Take her to the zoo, Rock, retards love the zoo." Under the pleather jacket is a T-Shirt with the Marvel Comics PUNISHER skull-face on it. You could really take Junkyard Jack and kitbash him into several different characters from popular fiction. Or he could just be JUNKYARD JACK, the lonely guy whose job it is to prowl the junkyards with his dogs on cold winter nights.
Gear: You get a SPAS shotgun, a gold watch, a chain with a lock attached, and a cellular phone. The gold watch has to be the cheesiest accessory I have ever seen. The gold paint on it is cheepie. This is the kind of watch that somebody might buy from a street hustler for $5.00, while they were waiting for the bus at Downtown (any City). However, the cheesy watch goes with the Philly style of Junkyard Jack! (no offense to Phillies...!)
The DOGS: Aside from the ugly-face head and the Misfits bodybuilder body; the other thing going for this set are the dogs and their neck-collars and leashes. The work is very well done, and the dogs look very realistic. They could probably be used in any World War II scenario also.
Overall: This set brings the MisFits super-bodybuilder body, which is a PLUS, and the ugly-faced headsculpt and the two vicious dogs. It is a pretty cool set. However, it is a bit light for a $30.00 set. That is why I waited for two years until it was finally on clearance at TRU at $17.88!! Okay, and I am a bit stingy too. However, at $18, Junkyard Jack is a great set! A month or two later these sets were as low as $7.99 at some Toys R Us stores!!!
