Headsculpt. This Officer has a sort of sideways mustache. The idea must be that he is sneering or twitching and so his lip and mustache are curled? Perhaps he is listening to another excuse for having an expired tag? The body is not an ultra-articulated body. It is a Sam, which is the earlier style. Take a look at the photo of Jerry-without-a-shirt for a reference.
Packaging: The newest version of a 21st Century America's Finest Police Officer is carded and available for $9.99 at some Toys R Us and various prices at others. For some reason TRU has been pricing items at different prices at different regions occasionally. So watch out! This Police Officer is on a blue card, which has a tray for the figure and his gear, and a plastic card which covers everything. This figure is easy to rip right off the cardboard, but MINTY collectors will have to buy two. Since there is some concern regarding 21st Century's future, it may be a good idea to get a few of what might become the last releases of America's Finest, Ultimate Soldier, and The Villains. The last batch usually will have a lower production amount, so this may become a valued collectible if in fact 21st passes into Action Figure History. Hopefully 21st will continue to provide their quality gear for many years to come!
Outfit: This short-sleeved Police Officer uniform looks real. It is well tailored, and the only thing that I would like to see is those giant POLICE SHOES that many real Police Officers wear. Not the Danner or SWAT boots, and not the Sunday Dress Shoes. I mean those shiny shoes that Police Officers wear that are about twice as thick as normal shoes and are useful for kicking down doors and still keep their shine. The shirt has the resin Police Shield glued on and a name badge (Taylor) and silk-screened flag and "City of Blackwater Police" insignia.
Gear: This carded set brings a full complement of accessories, and I have not been able to find more than just the one I bought. "Jerry" makes the rest of the carded Sams look poor by comparison! 21st Century just keeps putting great stuff on the shelves! What you see in the photo above is what you get: a handgun and holster; a flashlight and holster; a radio and holder; and an ammo pouch and a nice cap.
Overall: A new face, new clothes, and lots of gear for $9.99!!
