Packaging: Carded Double Duty GI Joe figure with a cartoon adventure on the back of the card. This is something between Adventure Team and the Real American Hero series. The figure and gear is inside a vacu-mold, so you will have to damage the card if you want to display the figure.
Figure: The figure is marketed in the African-American and Caucasian variety. I have not seen the Hispanic figure in the Mountain Eye series, but it might be around also. The hands on the figures have gloves painted on. The set I bought had the muscle-arms CC Joe, but supposedly as new sets are sent out the bodies will all be the new ultra-articulated version.
Outfit & Gear: The camo poncho and matching Fritz helmet are very brightly colorful, almost neon. I am not sure what kind of forest these would be good for, but they are different. A Hall of Fame era M-16 with the missile launcher is included. Outift 2 is what looks like Coast Guard pants, an Ice Pick, a Ski Mask, and a Para Jump or rappeling harness. The harness can be used for parachutes also, as it has a loop above each shoulder and one in the middle which is for sliding down ropes. The M-16 missile launcher also includes a handy rope with a rappelling missile so that a kid can attach one end to a tree in the yard and rappel GI Joe down the rope on his harness.
Overall: GI Joe, camo poncho, rappelling equiptment and some imagination makes this a pretty good collectible value at $9.99 at Target or $10.99 at Toys R Us.
