Hummvees with TOW Missiles are sent out to beef-up the perimeter patrols. The orders are to terminate, with extreme prejudice. The Alien must be stopped. It cannot succeed. The Alien must not leave the base alive. The Misfits' Jerry Only rides shotgun on this 21st Century Command Vehicle.
Every precaution is taken, smoke grenades are tossed into ditches and anywhere that can offer a hiding place to the Alien. Intel claims that the highly adaptive Aliens react negatively to smoke and fire.
As the patrol continues hunting for the Alien creature, more smoke canisters are dispersed in the hope of literally smoking the creature out of hiding. If they don't find it before nightfall, the odds are good that it will escape to menace the citizens in the nearby migrant town of Hialeah.
YOWZA! The Alien is spotted, and the troops are both glad they succeeded in finding it and concerned that their lives may soon be over if the Alien strikes first! (Obi Wan Kenobe reacts with shock, but Captain Pike remains calm)
The creature suddenly jumps out in front of the truck and flees. Apparently it has been disoriented by the smoke bombs which have been deployed around the perimeter.
